About Sugarloaf Premium Beef

Sugarloaf Premium Beef is a family owned business created in 2010. Identifying a need to diversify the family farm, Sugarloaf Creek Stud, Trevor Klippel decided to create a business, which supplies fresh farmed beef, hormone free and grass-fed. The Klippel family farm have long been renowned in producing exceptional cattle for breeding and beef. The farm is situated in the picturesque Upper Murray close to Corryong and Khancoban, on the Victorian side.

With the demands for freshly produced products and people becoming aware of what they eat. Trevor decided to market home delivered beef packs. He travels to Canberra every 5 weeks, delivering beef packs direct to clients homes, Beechworth on the first weekend of the month and Geelong 2-3 times a year. Trevor has found going to the bus depot market in Kingston, Beechworth and Corryong Farmers market has been an excellent way to promote their beef as people could buy single portions and try before they purchased packs.

Sugarloaf Premium Beef does not only support two families on the Sugarloaf Creek farm, but also the local abattoir and butcher. All beef is killed at the Tallangatta abattoir and butchered in the local Corryong butchery. Trevor Klippel has developed a product which is of high standard. The beef is long hung between 3-4 week, to ensure tenderness and flavour. Most of the products are then cryovac packed.

The business is starting to pave its way into the Canberra market with clients providing positive feedback and reordering. If you would like to find out more information about the beef packs you can contact Trevor Klippel emailing sugarloaf.hereford@gmail.com.
